About Us

Discover the story behind Kabul Kabob House and our mission to bring authentic Afghan cuisine to Northern Virginia

Our Story

At Kabul Kabob House, we're more than just a restaurant, we're a part of the community.

Our story began in 2003, when Mr. Abbasi made Gainesville his home. Just three years later, in 2006, he opened the city's very first Afghan restaurant, introducing locals to the rich, flavorful cuisine of his homeland. From day one, our mission has been simple: to bring the authentic taste of Afghanistan to Northern Virginia — from our home to yours.

We chose the name Kabul Kabob House with intention. To us, “house” means hospitality. It means warmth, comfort, and family. When you walk through our doors, you're not just a customer — you're a guest in our home.

Over the years, we've grown alongside our community, serving generations of families and friends. Whether you're here for a quick lunch, a family dinner, or a celebration, we're honored to share a piece of Afghan culture with you.

As we continue to grow, our commitment remains the same: serving fresh, authentic Afghan food with heart, hospitality, and a sense of home.

Welcome to the family. Welcome to Kabul Kabob House.
